First Post-College Course; First Blog

Alex here. Believe it or not, this is actually my first formal blog. I created it in response to an assignment given in “Star Trek: Inspiring Culture and Technology”, an online course offered by the Smithsonian via edX. This, as it so happens, is also the first course I have taken since earning my Bachelor’s Degree in the late ‘90s.

How did I come across this course? To be honest, I can’t really tell you. I happened to find it in one of the dormant browser windows on my iPhone when I was looking for something else. I don’t recall ever navigating to the site in the first place, but the course sounds interesting and I happen to be a trekkie anyway, so I think this course will be a good fit. (No particularly entertaining Star Trek puns come to mind at the moment to close out this post, so imagine one here and I’ll speak to you again soon.)
